The 20-year-old is set to miss out on Euro 2012, but Stuart Pearce has suggested that he could be included in Great Britain's Olympic squad later on in the summer.
However, Wenger has stressed that the youngster's rehabilitation is his main priority, and he will not be rushed back too soon.
